A Simple Device That Offers Staggering Results
The Delta T Alert is a self-contained, temperature-monitoring sensor that attaches magnetically to your electrical enclosure covers. It is designed to work on NEMA 1 enclosures, which are constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against incidental contact with the enclosed equipment and to provide protection against falling dirt.

Delta T Alert

The Delta T Alert is comprised of two sensors, one to monitor the electrical enclosure’s interior temperature and the second to monitor the ambient temperature of the room where the enclosure is located. To monitor your enclosure’s internal temperature, just remove the cover and drill a 15/32" hole into it. Then magnetically attach the Delta T, with its interior sensor protruding 7/8" into the panel. Both the size of the hole and the length of the interior sensor conform to protection classification NEMA IP20, which protects against hand or finger access to hazardous internal parts.

Our proprietary software includes two sections – the “Set-up” section and the “Normal” section. The “Set-up” section is for the installer only and the “Normal” section is for the customer. During the set-up mode, variables such as enclosure size, rated amperage and average measured amperage are just a few of the variables that are considered. These variables will ensure the correct “Temperature Status” in the “Normal” mode section of the software which is what the customer will be viewing.

Once installation is complete, your Delta T can be configured to collect data on a daily basis, at specific time intervals, with the information transmitted wirelessly to an onsite computer for analysis and trending. The Delta T Alert will warn you of excessive temperature rise within your electrical enclosures well before more serious problems may occur.

This software lets you print reports and trending graphs, as well as scheduled repair logs for maintenance purposes. Please view the software video below.

There’s never been an easier, more effective way to prevent costly electrical damage and system downtime. With the Delta T Alert, you can monitor your electrical system quickly and daily, from a single location.

Ideal Applications

Disconnects

According to IEEE – Disconnects Switches have the highest rate of failure

Main Switchgear

The Heartbeat of your facility

Distribution & Power Panels

Incoming Lines & Main Breakers – Not Necessarily Individual Breakers

Dry Type Transformers

Routine Maintenance is often overlooked due to the danger of cover removal.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)

Loose connections, fan failure & excessive dust cause damaging heat rise within VFD’s

Meter Pans

Normally locked by Utility Company
